JUST DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE YOU SEE COULD SEE THE STARK DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DESERT AND THE GROWING FIELDS. THEY RAISE 175 DIFFERENT CROPS INCLUDING MORE THAN 90 PERCENT OF THE NATION'S LEAFY GREENS FROM NOVEMBER THROUGH MARCH.
WE WERE STAYING THE MONTH IN A BRAND NEW RV PARK, AND IT IS 5 STAR FOR SURE! THE WEB SITE DIDN'T DO IT JUSTICE.
IT IS A 400 PLUS SITE RV PARK AND WE FOUND OUT THERE ARE ONLY 40 OF US HERE, INCLUDING THE 14 WORKAMPERS. LOTS OF ROOM TO MOVE AROUND!
THE RV LOTS ARE VERY LARGE, THERE IS A BOWLING ALLY........
MINI GOLF.......
A THEATRE ROOM.........
ANOTHER DOG PARK THAT MAGGIE AND MARLEE DIDN'T LIKE GOING TO.....
A BEAUTIFUL POOL AND HOT TUB......ESPECIALLY BEAUTIFUL AT NIGHT.
AND DURING THE DAY IT WASN'T TOO BAD EITHER.
WE WENT SWIMMING ALMOST EVERY DAY AND WORKED ON OUR TANS.
FIRST THING WE DID WAS GO TO THE VISITOR INFORMATION CENTER TO CHECK OUT THINGS TO SEE AND DO HERE.
WITH OUR MAPS WE WERE ABLE TO FIND THE COLORADO RIVER......
AND DOWNTOWN YUMA........
WE BOUGHT ASPARAGUS, TOMATOES, CUCUMBERS, AND THE BEST LETTUCE I HAVE EVER EATEN! ON THE WAY HOME WE FOUND AN RV PARK THAT WAS HAVING A PARK WIDE GARAGE SALE.
WENT TO MARTHA'S GARDEN, A DATE FARM CLOSE TO OUR RV PARK
.
I HAD A DELICIOUS DATE SHAKE.
WHILE WE WERE AT THE POOL ONE DAY WE MET A GAL WHO TOLD US ABOUT THE ARIZONA MARKETPLACE. A BIG OPEN AIR FLEA MARKET! WE WENT AND CHECKED IT OUT. IT WAS GREAT AND WE SHOPPED THERE A LOT.
WE WERE ENJOYING THE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER HERE, SUNSHINE EVERY DAY.
AND BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS IN THE EVENINGS.
BUT THERE ARE NO SAGUARO CACTUS IN THIS DESERT!
