CALIFORNIA AGAIN OR BUST!!

WE LEFT ST. CLOUD ON  FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 TH, DARRELL'S 71ST. BIRTHDAY. IT WAS HARD TO SAY GOODBYE TO JACOB AND SONYA. WE ARE HEADED TO SAUGUS, CALIFORNIA TO SELL PUMPKINS AND CHRISTMAS TREES AGAIN  FOR  BENNETT'S BEST.  WE WERE ONLY GOING TO DRIVE TO  FARGO, BUT THE CAMPGROUND THAT WE HAD CHOSEN  WAS RIGHT BY THE INTERSTATE AND NOT VERY NICE. WE DROVE ON TO FORT LINCOLN STATE PARK IN BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA.

IT IS A BEAUTIFUL CAMPGROUND WITH ALL THESE LARGE TREES!

WE HAD A LARGE PULL-THRU SITE.

WE WERE VERY GLAD WE  HAD KEPT GOING, WE HAD DRIVEN 375 MILES. WE GOT SOME REST  AND HEADED TO MILES CITY, MONTANA THE NEXT DAY.  DRIVING THROUGH  NORTH DAKOTA  THE NEXT DAY, EVEN THOUGH THE FIELDS HAVE BEEN CUT,  I COULD SEE WHERE AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL GOT IT'S INSPIRATION.THERE WERE AMBER WAVES OF GRAIN.

WE CAME TO THE "OIL COUNTRY" OF NORTH DAKOTA.

I HAD NEVER THOUGHT OF NORTH DAKOTA  AS  BEING A VERY   BEAUTIFUL STATE, BUT ON THIS PARTICULAR  DAY AS WE DROVE THROUGH I THOUGHT IT WAS!  I WAS SURPRISED HOW GREEN THE GRASS WAS. I WISHED WE HAD MORE TIME TO EXPLORE.

IT WASN'T LONG AND WE WERE IN MONTANA!

WE STOPPED AT  THIS  REST STOP. IT WAS HOT!!

MAGGIE AND MARLEE WERE GLAD TO GET OUT OF THE TRUCK FOR A BIT!
I THOUGHT THIS WAS REALLY INTERESTING ABOUT THE YELLOWSTONE RIVER.

AND JUST LIKE THE SIGN SAYS  IT RUNS RIGHT ALONG  INTERSTATE 90.

WE GOT TO BIG SKY CAMPGROUND AROUND 3 O'CLOCK.

ALL THAT WAS AVAILABLE WAS 30 AMP SERVICE. WE GOT ALONG JUST FINE.
IT WAS ONLY $22 TO STAY HERE.

WE DROVE IN TO MILES CITY TO GAS UP THE DUALLY.

THIS VERIZON STORE WAS REALLY LIT UP!
WE LEFT AT 9:00 THE NEXT MORNING HEADED TO BOZEMAN, MONTANA.
