FAMILY HISTORY LIBRARY, FARMER'S MARKET

THE NEXT AFTERNOON WE TOOK THE SHUTTLE AGAIN AND WENT TO THE  FAMILY HISTORY LIBRARY, WHICH IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE TEMPLE

. I HAVE SEARCHED OUR FAMILY TREE, BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT MY FATHER'S FAMILY.  THIS IS THE LARGEST GENEALOGICAL COLLECION OF IT'S KIND IN THE WORLD. VISITORS ARE WELCOME TO USE THIS AT NO CHARGE AND THEY PROVIDE EXPERIENCED RESEARCH SPECIALISTS AND TRAINED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP YOU DISCOVER YOUR ANCESTORS AND GROW
YOUR FAMILY TREE.

I TOOK WHAT INFORMATION I HAD AND A VERY NICE GENTLEMAN HELPED ME. WE WERE ABLE TO FIND CENSUS  RECORDS THAT LISTED MY GRANDFATHER AS A SAWMILL LABORER. WE FOUND  MY GRANDPARENTS' MARRIAGE LICENSE. I  HAD JUST KNOWN MY GRANDFATHER'S NAME WAS MACK. HIS FULL NAME WAS MACK MATHIAS HAMILTON.IN SEARCHING THE RECORDS, I FOUND A NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS OF SOMEONE BY THE LAST NAME OF INFINGER, MY GRANDMOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME. I SENT AN EMAIL, BUT AS OF THIS BLOG, I HAVE NOT HAD A REPLY.

I WAS EXCITED I HAD FOUND OUT MY GRANDFATHER'S FULL NAME, BUT I WAS HOPING I WOULD FIND OUT WHAT COUNTRY  THEY CAME  FROM. THE MAN THAT WAS HELPING ME GOT ME SIGNED UP FOR ONLINE ACCESS TO FAMILYSEARCH.ORG, SO WHEN I HAVE SOME TIME I CAN DO MORE RESEARCH.
THE NEXT DAY, SATURDAY, WE FOUND THE FARMER'S MARKET.

BOILED PEANUTS!!

HAD TO BUY SOME, THEY WERE HORRIBLE!!
AND THEY HAD BEAUTIFUL PUMPKINS!!

WE BOUGHT A WATERMELON, CANTALOUPE, TOMATOES, CUCUMBERS, PEACHES....IT WAS ALL DELICIOUS!
WE HAD ENJOYED OUR VISIT TO SALT LAKE CITY, I WANTED TO SEE THE GREAT SALT LAKE,  BUT WE RAN OUT OF TIME. WE NEEDED TO GET HOME AND DO SOME CHORES.

THEY DID FILL THE HOT TUB AND WE HAD ENJOYED  IT A FEW TIMES.

THE NEXT DAY, SUNDAY, WE WERE HEADING DOWN THE ROAD TO ST. GEORGE UTAH.
